Our Manifesto

The Art of Attentive Travel

111111 is an independent travel publication founded to reclaim wonder from mass tourism. We seek places that honor heritage, silence, and architectural harmony.

Fieldwork & Ethics

We Only Write What We Personally Experience

Unlike algorithm-driven tourism aggregators, every entry in 111111 originates from boots on the soil, silent mornings in village squares, and long conversations with local craftspeople and stewards of the land.

Our editorial stance rejects paid destination placement that compromises truth. We highlight family-run sanctuaries, vernacular wooden homes, and responsible expeditions that give back to their micro-ecosystems.

01

Slow Rhythm

We advocate staying in one region for weeks rather than collecting airport stamps in hours.

02

Architectural Reverence

From Nordic coastal cabins to Japanese machiya, we champion places designed in dialogue with geology.

03

Preserved Ecosystems

We work solely with lodgings and operators adhering to minimal physical footprints.
